In March Justin and I started discussing more permanent forms of birth control. After two back-to-back miscarriages (four total for me), I was told with my age and history that IF I were to conceive again, the pregnancy would have somewhere in the neighborhood of a 90% chance of “spontaneously aborting.”
Congratulations! I got pregnant (after years of trying) at age 40 and still remember the big red letters on my chart "Advanced Maternal Age" which struck me as the kind of thing that would appear on my chart if I were having a baby at 60. I had a healthy full-term girl at age 41.
Congratulations!! It is so refreshing to hear someone truly desiring to have children after all the pro choice 'shout your abortion' trash over the past year since the Dobbs decision. I had Blessing #8 just after turning 41 and #9 arrived when I was 44 1/2. She is now a beautiful talented 21 year old. God is faithful and has a perfect plan. So happy for you and my prayers are with you.

I read your letter today, and I found myself crying such joyful, happy tears for you and your family, and thanking God for bringing such a blessing into your life after such a season of loss/adversity. So happy for you. I had my son (after 4 miscarriages) at age 35. Didn't expect to have issues but there we were and we called him our miracle baby. I had always assumed I'd have 2-3-4 kids but there ya go. Who knew I'd go into menopause at age 38!?!.
